Forty years ago, the South Bronx looked as bad as any Middle East war zone.

New fires every day, sometimes every HOUR.

Blocks and blocks of vacant garbage strewn lots. A murder rate equivalent to a war zone.

Why?

Here’s the role the government played in destroying the community: They incentivized financial crime.
