We’ve heard a lot about the Taliban this week, haven’t we?

But how much do we know about them?

Where did they come from? Who organized and trained them? Who funded and armed them?

All these answers are known and you will never see them on the TV news.

By the way, this is one area I agree with Biden on. Staying another year – another 100 years – would not have made a difference.

We should never have been there in the first place.

That said, we could have prevented this 40 years ago, by not arming foreign fighters in Afghanistan and telling the Saudis NOT to train an insurgency and the Pakistanis not to be involved. Not only did we do neither, we tacitly supported the social chaos they created.
