What did the US Army Corps of Engineers – the federal agency whose incompetence was responsible for the levee failures – do?

They used Corps of Engineers computers and employees (or contractors) to post to discussion boards in New Orleans and around the world, disrupting otherwise rational conversations with personal attacks and racial slurs.

It’s documented fact. It happened. Your tax dollars at work.

If you study the disruption of YouTube discussions by similar tactics, you’ll see that the offending accounts are often either brand new and/or entirely inactive before they begin their attacks on specific videos and discussions.

Are these people paid too? If so, who is paying them and why?

Note that these sub-moron trolls almost always appear AFTER a particularly impactful video has gotten a lot of traffic and generated a lot of conversation and comment.
