Osama and the dead body express
And other ‘secret’ geography insights
This is what they say happened
Americans have a reputation for having a poor grasp of geography.
I don’t know whether that’s true or not, but geographic (and cultural) confusion is heavily promoted by the media.
The US news media showed maps of “the compound” (i.e. the trash filled dump) over and over again. It also stressed how close “the compound” is to Pakistan’s capital city.
OK, so far so good, but missing from the discussion is how freaking far “the compound” was from the sea and the super-human gymnastics the dead body supply chain had to go through to deposit one expired Osama bin Laden into the ocean.
Also missing…forever from all reports…is the simple fact that Pakistan is the ONLY way to get the oil and gas we covet from Central Asia to us and away from China and Europe.
If the US will cause the death of over 1 million Iraqis (99+% innocent civilians) to nail down their oil, do you think they’ll be squeamish about the cost of laying some pipe through Pakistan?
Geography: If you don’t know it’s because they don’t want you to know it because it explains too much.
