Corrupt, whacko presidents are not that unusual

I keep hearing what a great president Lyndon Johnson was.

He was great alright.

A great crook and a seriously unbalanced guy.

So Trump or Obama or Bush or Clinton etc. were not the first ones.

The question is: How do miscreants like this end up in the White House over and over again?
