Has an incoming US president ever been threatened by intelligence agencies before taking office?

The US news media has been relaying their threats to Trump loud and clear.

I’m not a fan of Donald Trump. I’ve followed his career (since the 1980s) for too long.

He was elected because the Democrat Party ran one of the most appalling human beings possible against him.

That said, these not-so-thinly veiled threats against Trump reveal the darkness at the heart of the US government and who really runs things.
