It’s a little known fact, but Jim Jones of Jonestown infamy worked hand-in-glove with San Francisco politicians to get them elected.

They in turn looked the other way when he victimized the many people who lost their homes, communities, and businesses to the wave of government supported illegal evictions that took place in the Western Addition section of the city in the 1960s and 70s.
