Chris Hedges and Rania Khalek talk about the dual purpose of Israel’s periodic slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza:

1. Destabilize the society to make it easier to control
2. Test new weapons for sale on the international market

“Industrial scale” weapons are used on virtually defenseless people and then marketed around the world as “battle-tested.”

What Silicon Valley is to computers, Israel is to the business of selling the tools of repression.

If that isn’t enough, Israel is becoming a major trainer of US police departments. Cops are trained to treat Americans like Palestinians.

The phrase “a cancer on humanity” comes to mind.
