The US government claims Snowden, by revealing state secrets, has threatened the security of this country.
Chomsky points out that it is the duty of every American citizen to expose his government’s terrorist policies if that is the case.
What Snowden has succeeded in doing is not laying bare classified information so much, but rather shining a light on a government that seeks to hide from its own citizenry its own criminal embarrassments.
