What’s more, he left behind a sort of perverse “family tree” of corrupt intelligence operatives who are active to this day.

They may not be organizing assassinations (or perhaps their attempts haven’t been as successful…) but this “rotten fruit” is still all too capable of controlling the country’s political outcomes.
