Clearly a plane did not hit the Pentagon.

Whatever did hit it, flew with superhuman performance and was clearly not a human-piloted plane.

What flies like that?

One thing and one thing only: a missile.

Can an aluminum tube (which is what a passenger plane is) cleanly penetrate multiple rings of a hard target like the Pentagon without leaving any wreckage on the front lawn?

No. It would be impossible.

But a missile designed to do it could.
