How to get what you want and get going
This site is huge. No question about it. The problem is not a shortage of evidence, it’s that there is so much it’s hard to know where to dive in.
The main purpose of this site is to serve as a depository of all essential information relating to the San Francisco Election Fraud of June 3, 1997. Every statement is documented. Serious journalists and researchers who want to get background on this story fast can, in an hour or so, suck up material that would otherwise take several hundred hours to gather. The site also contains quite a bit of analysis.
Realistically, not everyone has an hour to spend on this subject so let me suggest a path that will take you past the highlights quickly.
This page will be your home base. The pattern is always the same: hit the recommended link and read the page it refers to. Then hit the “back” button on your browser and come back to this page for your next link. In about 10 minutes time, you’ll have an excellent overview of the case. (Remember, when you’re done, hit the “back” button on your browser and come back here.)
Before we start, a word of caution: once you start getting into the story, you might get hooked, so be prepared.
First, read a brief summary of the case, but don’t follow any of the links. When done, hit the “back” button on your browser and return to this page.
Second, read over the list of categories from the section called eyewitness accounts, and again, don’t follow the links. When done, hit the “back” button on your browser and return to this page.
Third, this story sounds unbelievable unless you know the backgrounds of the characters involved. Give this page a quick scan without following any of the links and you’ll soon see that with this crew, anything’s possible! When done, hit the “back” button on your browser and return to this page.
Fourth, the whole election scam depends on people believing that the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood voted 80% for the stadium plan. Take the tour and ask yourself, is this probable? Read all three sections (there are lots of photos too.) When done, “back” button your way back to this page with your browser.
Fifth, by this point you’ll have an understanding of the inner workings of current San Francisco politics that exceeds that of many of the people who’ve made their living writing about it for a decade or more. The whole process ought to take ten minutes.
Now, if you’re so inclined, I’d recommend that you check out the exhibits. We log the exhibits as they come in so by examining them sequentially you can get a feeling for the flow of the investigation and the corresponding coverup. Now you can follow links, examine the photos, the letters, the canceled checks, etc.
Sixth, now go back to the “Background and Analysis” and “Beyond San Francisco” sections on the home page and see if there’s anything that strikes your fancy.
Seventh, if you’d like a good laugh or you want to have your worst fears about the state of American journalism confirmed, check out what the local media has done with the story. In some ways, it’s the most shocking story of all.
Keep in mind San Francisco has two dailies, two “alternative” weeklies, a biweekly, four television news departments, a bunch of radio stations, a zillion websites, and some slick magazines. You’ll be comforted to know they did a good job of covering the release of Dave Letterman’s TV buddy “Manny the Hippie” from jail and showing pictures of the surface of Mars.
Eighth, subscribe to the e-mail newsletter that accompanies the site. It’s free. The unfolding story beats anything on TV or in the movies. Guaranteed.
