100 years or so ago, the US declared a “war on drugs.”
The idea was that drugs are dangerous because they create addiction and ruin lives.
It’s a great theory. The problem is that it’s not true.
Drugs of various sorts – including alcohol – may not be good for you, but there are not in themselves addictive.
