The gospels were written long after the original witnesses were dead, so who’s to say?

The one incredibly compelling story is the one from India. How do you explain that one away. It could of course just be a well developed hoax.

But, little understood fact of ancient life: While many never left their villages, there was a lot of very long distance trade going on and if someone wanted to go from Palestine to France or India – and back – it would not be as big a deal as the uninformed think it would be.
