WTC: What you are not being told ***This article may be republished only if republished in its entire form*** September 24, 2001 WTC: What you are not being told Since the cold blooded murder of over 6,000 New Yorkers two weeks ago, the following has occurred: 1. The airline industry asked for and
received billions of dollars in aid way
out of proportion to the actual financial
damages they sustained.
And still none of us - "us" being the people of the United States who are paying for all of this in money and blood - knows any more about WHO did this, WHY they did it, HOW they were able to do it, than we did two weeks ago. Fraud and treason on an incomprehensible scale US law enforcement, intelligence, and the military claimed total surprise at the nature of the attack. Then CNN learned that, in 1995, plans for an identical attack had been provided to the FBI by the Philippine intelligence agency. The FBI discarded them. But there is much, much more to this: * Would it surprise you to learn that the tactic of using hijacked planes on suicide attack missions has been part of policy on the part of Islamic terrorist organizations since the early 1980s... * That one Middle Eastern country, a sworn enemy of the United States, has two airport facilities devoted exclusively to the training of attacks on commercial airliners... * That Boeing 707s, 727s, and 747s were known to be used as a part of this training... * That a suicide squadron including Falcon Jets and DC-3s has been staffed and in operation for this purpose since 1983... * That the plan to launch a major terrorist-guerilla offensive INSIDE the United States has been the publicly stated goal of a state sponsored terror network since the late 1970s and that the conspirators have been laying the groundwork for this end methodically and in plain view... * That the men arrested for the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center were known by US law enforcement not to be the masterminds behind the attack. Further, that the domestic infrastructure that made that attack possible was thoroughly understood, but has been allowed to operate and grow unhampered... Why aren't we getting these facts? Before you assume that the above information is being pulled out of thin air and is being manufactured after the fact as part of an Internet conspiracy theory, you should know where I found this information. In a book... published in 1993! Yes, in 1993, enough was known about the who, the why, and the operational DETAILS of the terrorist threat against US citizens that the above information and more appeared in a mass market paperback EIGHT YEARS AGO. The author, Yossef Bodansky, is not an obscure, fringe figure. He is the Director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare. He's published six books on American defense and has acted as senior consultant to the US Departments of State and Defense. His articles have appeared in Global Affairs, JANE's Defense Weekly and Business Week. So why don't WE have this information? How many tens of millions of dollars have been spent telling the story of September 11 in the last two weeks? CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS - and the government agencies that provide them with their information on the case. Why can't they make the investment in a paperback that when new cost $5.99? Note that today, I searched the New York Times for mention of the author's name in the past 30 days and neither he nor his very detailed work, the result of over 20 years of research, appears in their pages. Judge for yourself After discovering Bodansky's book in a used bookstore last week, I quickly transcribed a few key portions of it for your examination. Remember this comes from material *published* in print in 1993 and available via a mass market paperback. 1. "For the disruption of aerial traffic in the West, from airport attacks to hijacking, Iran maintains two major installations for terrorist training. The first installation was established in Wakilabad near Mashhad. The entire western built airport was given over to the terrorist training program. The latest Western airport equipment was purchased and transferred to the training facility. Iran Air maintained a Boeing 707 and a Boeing 727 jet in the airport and could send a Boeing 747 for special classes. There were several former Iran Air and Iranian Air Force pilots among the staff students, including some trained in the United States." Page 15 2. "Since early 1988, there has been a surge in the Iranian preparations and training for terrorist strikes against civil aviation. Terrorists specially trained in surveying and preparing terrorist attacks on civilian aviation (aircraft and airports) are deployed as crew members on Iran air aircraft for flights all over the world. They also recruit airport workers or neighbors and create cells for future operations." Page 81 3. "In the mid-1980s, some of Iran's PC-7 suicide planes were ready for operations, based at the Dowshan Tappeh air base near Teheran. Their targets were the palaces of heads of state of the Gulf States. The pilots of this suicide squadron were graduates of the North Korean training program... Teheran decided to send experienced pilots... to the Won San air base in North Korea where they would 'be trained in under the supervision of the Korean instructors known for their kamakaze slights' for one year." Page 14 Why aren't we getting these facts? Contrast what you have just learned from a book published in 1993 to what you are reading in the newspapers and seeing on TV. How is it that the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on intelligence and law enforcement in the last eight years could have failed to acquire, learn from, and act on a paperback that when new cost $5.99? And what about the news media? How many tens millions of dollars in news gathering infrastructure do they have at their disposal? How many scores of talking heads have they had on their air in the last two weeks "explaining" the problem? And yet, until now, this basic information has been kept from you. Why? Is it gross incompetence? Is it a deliberate policy on the part of the government to keep us in the dark so as to mold our reactions in the direction of their choosing? I don't know and I won't speculate. But what I do know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, is that basic information is not being made available to you and me. What else was known and *published* in 1993 - The exact mechanism by which suicide terrorists are recruited, trained, placed and controlled in the United States - A low tech way to detect suspicious money transfers from Islamic terrorist groups to their operatives in the US - The $100,000,000 investment made by a Middle Eastern government to develop a terror network targeting US citizens on US soil - The key role of Islamic terrorists in de-stabilizing the Serbian government in Yugoslavia, a cause actively supported by the United States government - How hundreds of supporters of the terror war have been infiltrated into US over the years - The myth of the "independent" terrorist cell - How US and European terror support networks are organized, including detailed descriptions of their command and control structure and a list of the geographical areas of the US where they are concentrated - How "masterminds" like Osama bin Laden and Abu Nidal are used as diversionary fronts to protect the real leadership behind attacks - Why there were no significant terrorist attacks against Europe or the US during the Gulf War - How the "victory" over Iraq in the Gulf War exponentially strengthened the Islamic terror movement If you can find a copy of the book, it's called "Target America: Terrorism in the U.S. Today," It was written by Yoseff Bodansky, and published in 1993 by Shapolsky Publishers of NY.
